Abstract
The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not the lesson plans created by the English teacher at SMPN 12 Seluma correspond to the 2013 curriculum, as well as the process and challenges encountered by the English teacher when creating lesson plans. The documentary research, the content analysis, and the interview guidelines were used to gather the qualitative data. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative approach to carry out the study. This study is a case study that belongs to the qualitative research category. The results of the research show that although the lesson plan developed by an English teacher during the first semester of SMPN 12 Seluma for the 2021/2022 academic year consists entirely of nine components, the author's expectation of all lesson plans made by an English teacher actually meets the 2013 curriculum standards. each RPP shows several deficiencies that are not related to the 2013 Curriculum. In several fields, such as Study Materials, Learning Resources, and Evaluation. RPP for the 2013 curriculum is made exclusively by teachers. The lack of adequate facilities and teachers who continue to be confused about the 2013 curricular learning system are further challenges.
