Abstract

This research aims to produce teaching materials for Islamic Religious Education (PPKB GPAI) based on a website using the Google Sites platform, measuring its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This study falls under the category of Research and Development (R&D) with a mixed methods approach. The development model is adapted from Robert Maribe Branch's (2009) ADDIE approach, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The analysis phase includes performance gap analysis, goal analysis, user characteristics, media, and context analysis. The design phase involves designing the content, structure, and interactive features of the website teaching materials. The development phase includes the creation of teaching materials, validation tests, and revisions based on expert feedback. The implementation phase comprises testing and the use of the website by Islamic Religious Education teachers. The evaluation phase involves assessing the quality of the teaching materials and collecting feedback from users. The research results include: 1) In the preliminary study, the importance of developing website-based teaching materials for PPKB GPAI was recognized; 2) In the development phase, a simple website was created as teaching materials for PPKB GPAI using the Google Sites platform; 3) The developed teaching materials were tested, evaluated, and revised based on feedback from Islamic Religious Education teachers. The validity of the product was assessed through expert evaluations from subject matter experts, ICT experts, and educational media experts, resulting in an average score of 97.6%. This indicates that the teaching materials fall under the category of very valid and suitable for use. The practicality was assessed through feedback from practitioners and the response of Islamic Religious Education teachers, with an average score of x 87.3% from practitioners and 81.8% from GPAI teachers, qualifying as very practical. Field trial results showed an average percentage of 84% in the experimental group, with an 8.8% difference in the average scores between the experimental and control groups. A significant difference was found between the experimental and control groups, indicating the effectiveness of the PPKB GPAI teaching materials in improving the performance of GPAI teachers. This research is expected to make a positive contribution to enhancing the competence and professionalism of Islamic Religious Education teachers, particularly in Central Bengkulu Regency, and for Islamic Religious Education teachers in general, resulting in improved quality of Islamic education in schools
