Abstract

The objectives of this study were to find out the effectiveness of Cakap application of Proficiency AI on Students' Speaking Skills On XI Grade Students Of MAN 2 Kota Bengkulu in Academic 2023/2024. The type of research used is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental or experimental method approach. In this study, the sample used in this study amounted to 48 students. So the sample in this study were 24 students in class A (experimental), and 24 students in class B (control). Several primary data collection techniques are used, namely through: observation, test, and documentation. Based on the experimental results, it is known that there is a significant difference between the scores of the experimental class taught using the AI Cakap App and the control class not taught using the AI Cakap App. The students in the experimental class were able to improve their speaking skills significantly. The mean post-test score in the experimental class was 72.58 and the control class was 60.58. Statistical analysis using SPSS showed that the R square value was 0.626 with an alpha level of 5% (0.05). The sig value. 0.626 is greater than 0.05 (0.626 > 0.05). It can be concluded that the alternative analysis hypothesis (H2) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Finally, the researcher concluded that the use of Cakap AI Application has a significant effect on students' speaking ability in class XI students of MAN 2 Bengkulu City.
