Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's efforts in increasing student learning motivation in the new normal era in English lessons and identify obstacles in teacher implementation in increasing student learning motivation. At SMP Negeri 7 Kota Bengkulu. This research is motivated by the decline in student learning motivation during the implementation of online-based learning. Therefore, teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City are required to be able to increase the learning motivation of students who have decreased. This type of research is research using a qualitative approach through case studies. In obtaining valid data to support the research, this study uses observation, interview, and documentation methods in data collection. The data analysis techniques used in this study used data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the efforts made by English teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Bengkulu City in increasing student learning motivation are by creating interesting and fun learning, as well as preparing learning media by preparing media related to interesting and inspiring material and providing rewards for active students Efforts made.
