Abstract

This research aims to answer a problem regarding how Is there a significant difference in writing ability between the students who are taught using mind mapping technique assisted edraw application and that of those who are not. This research is a type of quasi-experimental research. Based on the research results, The description of the data described in the results of this research has shown the use of the edraw application for class XII IPA students at SMAN 09 Bengkulu City. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, the lowest pretest score was 30 and the highest was 80, while in the posttest the lowest score was 30 and the highest was 90. The mean result of the experimental pre-test was 49.16 and the control pre-test was 59.50, the mean results showed that there was There is quite a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class in terms of initial abilities. The mean result of the experimental post-test was 53.33 and the control post-test was 70.66. Based on the output of the homogeneity test, it is known that the Sig value is 0.327 > 0.05, so it can be concluded that the variance of the experimental class post-test data and the control class post-test data is the same or homogeneous. Thus, one of the conditions of the independent sample t test has been fulfilled. The results of hypothesis testing using the t test show that the Sig 2 tailed value is more than 0.05, so Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. Based on the results of the research data, it can be concluded that the Sig value (0.000) <0.05 means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. So it can be said that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of class XII IPA students at SMAN 09 Bengkulu City using the edraw application.
