Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the pedagogic competence of teachers in foreign languages and developing lesson plan based on at SMAN 7 Bengkulu Selatan. The method used in this study is qualitative research. The subject of this study were two English teachers. Who taught with the Lesson Plan method of the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar in class X at SMAN 7 Bengkulu Selatan. Data collection techniques in this study researchers collected data by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are by data reduction, data display and conclusion pulling/verification. The result of this study is that the pedagogical competence of English teachers in foreign languages at SMAN 7 Bengkulu Selatan greatly affects the running of the student learning process, teachers are asked to attend workshops and in-house training (IHT) on the implementation or development of Lesson Plan based on the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar organized by the school by bringing in resource persons from the local education office. In order for teachers to better understand and be more mature in the development of the lesson plan for the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, so that in its implementation there are no complaints from teachers when they have implemented and developed the lesson plan for the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, supervising which is carried out in the classroom. Although there are several factors that are still limited in use, this is not an obstacle for schools and teachers in developing lesson plan based on the Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. For this reason, schools must complete facilities and infrastructure so that the learning process can run well and can support the implementation of an Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar.
