Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe what categories of learning styles and learning strategies of the students in English subject, to classify students English achievement based on their learning styles and learning strategies, and to investigate the correlation between students learning styles and strategies on students English Achivenent. There were 20 students of SMPN 19 Seluma in academic year 2021/2022. taken as the sample of this study. In collecting the data, this study uses instruments collected by questionnaire that have been tested using validity and reability. The researcher concluded that students learning styles and students learning strategies were correlated with students English achievement At SMPN 19 seluma grade 8. The correlations were positive. Based on SPSS 16 analysis, it is known that f change was 0.000 is smaller that level of significance 0.05 and r is 0.952 therefore they have a significant correlation.
