Abstract

This research is a research on developing English learning media based on Character Education using Sparkol Videoscribe at SMPN 05 Kota Bengkulu. This study aims to produce a valid, practical and effective English learning media based on character education using Sparkol Videoscribe with Expression In Learning Process material at SMPN 05 Kota Bengkulu with qualitative and quantitative approaches. This development research model adapts ADDIE from Branch which includes the following stages: 1). Analysis, 2). Designs, 3). Develop, 4). Implementation and 5). Evaluation The research instrument consists of interviews, observations and questionnaires. The results showed that the English Learning Media Based On Character Education Using Sparkol Videoscribe met the eligibility criteria after completing the stages of Branch adaptation development, this was obtained based on the results of the validation values of 2 validators of 4.73 and 4 which is in Excellent and Good categories. In the field, this learning media received an assessment with Excellent qualifications with a score of 4.35 which was taken from the results of the responses of 30 students, as well as the effectiveness of the media taken from the test of student learning outcomes, totaling 30 students, obtained a score of 80% in the Good category.
