Abstract

The transition from face-to-face learning systems to online learning methods makes students need to adapt to the process. Based on this, researchers feel that student cognition in online learning really needs to be studied about how online learning impacts on student cognition.This study aims to determine student cognition of online speaking class . The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive study. The sample consisted of 20 students in class 3C. Survey technique was used in this study. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire, which is a closed questionnaire distributed to respondents. The results of this study that students are easy in learning and convidence to practice English by used online Speaking class . And students gives positive respones about the use of online speaking class learning in teaching speaking English. And based on the data obtained, the EFL student cognition of online speaking class is a good to use after pandemic covid-19 pandemic, because it can help student to be convident in practice and easier to acces learning source.
