Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out theinfluence of the Listen-Read-Discuss (LRD) strategy on students' listening skills at MA Darussalam Bengkulu. In this study, the researcher used Quasi Experimental research method with times series design approach. There were 10 students who were taken as a sample. In collecting data, the researcher used tests and documentation as research instruments. This test is in the form of multiple choice with 20 questions. The test is given to the experimental class as a pre-test and post-test. The results revealed that the first pre-test and post-test scores were (58.00) and (73.50), the second pre-test and post-test were (59.50) and (75.00). Meanwhile, the third pre-test and post-test were (60.00) and (80.00) significant difference. The test results of the hypothesis shows that the t-test of one sample is independent (sig.2-tailed) is 0.000 which is lower than 0.05. In conclusion, it can be concluded that the LRD strategy is effective in developing students' listening skills which are more active in thinking, reading and discussing. This can help them to build their motivation and interactions.
