Abstract

This research begins with the era of modernity has brought changes to the adolescent generation in their lives. Adolescence is a transitional period, when individuals are at a crossroads, so there are various complexities of problems in that phase, one of which is Speaking skills. So that in order to improve mature public speaking in adolescents, it is necessary to have an institution that accommodates especially for the Islamic generation, generally for da'wah cadres to train themselves and apply under continuous guidance. This study aims to examine the relationship between muhadharah training and Speaking skills in SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Boarding School Bengkulu. In this study, researchers used quantitative methods with a correlational design. The sample in this study was selected through simple random sampling technique involving 80 respondents. The instrument used in this research has 25 questionnaire items. The results showed that the relationship between muhadharah training (X) and self-confidence (Y) was 0.000 which means <0.05 so that there is a significant relationship. Then, the results obtained from the correlation coefficient are 0.162 that the relationship is in the low category and is positive. So that the accepted hypothesis is (Ha) which means that there is a significant relationship between the muhadharah training variable and the Speaking skills of teenage students of SMA 1 Muhammadiyah Boarding School Bengkulu.
