Abstract

This study aims to explore and assess the difficulties encountered by english teachers at SMP IT Khairunnas Kota Bengkulu in their endeavors to enhance students vocabulary skills by utilizing animated films as a teaching tool the research employs a qualitative methodology with a case study approach. Data are gathered through interviews with english teachers who incorporate animated films into vocabulary instruction, classroom observations, and the examination of documents such as lesson plans and teaching materials. The research findings reveal various challenges faced by teachers, including the selection of appropriate animated films, the integration of these films into the curriculum, and the assessment of instructional effectiveness. The outcomes of this study can offer valuable insights for the development of more efficient teaching strategies aimed at improving students vocabulary acquisition through the use of animated films. The findings of this research hold substantial importance for the realm of education, especially in the creation of inventive and captivating teaching approaches. Furthermore, this study can offer direction to educators and educational institutions in effectively incorporating cartoon media into their curricular activities. Moreover, the research outcomes can serve as a stimulus for further investigations into the use of entertainment based media in education, which has the potential to greatly enhance students comprehension and command of vocabular
