Abstract
Reading is a process that a person carries out to absorb information and understand what they have read. This research aims to find out whether the use of the Wattpad Reading application is effective on students' reading comprehension achievement before and after teaching reading using the Wattpad Application at MAN 1 Bengkulu City for grade 10 students. This research uses a Quasi Experimental method with a quantitative type of research. The researcher decided to conduct an experiment in class X, totaling 37 students. From the research results, the average pre-test and post-test scores for the experimental group were 55.81 and 70.13. Meanwhile, the average pre-test and post-test scores for the control group were 55.00 and 64.59, which means that it can be seen that the post- test scores are higher than the pre-test scores. So it can be concluded that the use of the Wattpad application on students' reading comprehension has a significant influence on class X MAN 1 Bengkulu City students.
