Abstract

This research aims to answer a problem regarding how Is ithere a s significant effect of the tiktok iapplication on istudent's speaking ability at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City. This research is a type of quantitative research. Based on the research results, the description of the data described in the results of this research has shown the application of the use of solar system media for class VII students at SMPN 20 Bengkulu City. Based on descriptive statistical analysis, the lowest pretest score was 50 and the highest was 90, while in the posttest the lowest score was 50 and the highest was 95. The average score (mean) of the pretest obtained was 63.3333 while the posttest was 76.8333. This shows that after implementing the Englishwithmovie account content on the TikTok application, the average student score increased compared to before using this learning model. For the results of inferential statistical analysis for hypothesis testing, the prerequisite analysis tests are first carried out. The prerequisite test carried out is the normality test. The results of the normality test show that the pretest and posttest data are normally distributed. The results of the prerequisite tests stated that the data was suitable for hypothesis testing. The results of hypothesis testing using Sig 2 tailed are more than 0.05, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. and conversely, the Sig 2 tailed value is more than 0.05, then Ha is rejected and Ho is accepted. Based on the table above, it can be concluded that the Sig value (0.001) < 0.05 means Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected
