Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether or not there is a significant relationship between students' learning styles and their reading comprehension. The research approach used is quantitative with a correlational research design. The population in this study were students of class X1 and X2 MAN 2 Lebong and the sample was 45 people. The instrument of the research were questionnaire and test. Questionnaire to measure students' learning styles in reading and tests to measure students' reading comprehension of recount text. After obtaining the data, the researcher analyzed the data using the pearson product moment formula. The analysis found that there is a significant relationship between the learning style and reading comprehension. point correlation coefficient is the value of r 0.364 which is higher than r table 0.294. These results indicate that h0 is rejected and ha is accepted.
